The Planning & Development office consists of the Planning Coordinator, a new position added in 2013, and a part time secretary. Responsibilities include performing professional and administrative duties in planning, organizing, coordinating, and administering the town's planning, land use, and development functions and activities.

The Development Review Group is available to perform pre-application reviews of proposed projects. These meetings ensure that applicants are aware of the permits that they must apply for, in which order they should apply, and what they need to provide to make certain that their application(s) is complete.
NEW: STORMWATER MANAGEMENT AND ILLICIT DISCHARGE BYLAWS
The proposed Stormwater Management Bylaw and Illicit Discharge Bylaw was approved by voters at the May 13, 2014 TownMeeting. This general bylaw will become effective on September 1, 2014. Meanwhile, the Planning Board will review and adopt Stormwater Management Rules and Regulations after holding a public hearing.
