Mission Statement

The Office of Veterans' Services in the Town of Middleton has been an advocate for all veterans and their dependents. The Department advises and assists clients in obtaining benefits to which they are entitled. Some of the benefits are:

Emergency financial assistance (MGL CH 115) to all eligible needy veterans who served honorably.
Process Annuity payments to 100% disabled/blind veterans, plus Gold Star parents and spouses.
Assistance in filing tax abatement forms
Assistance in obtaining veterans license plates
Assistance in obtaining federal VA benefits, such as service connected disability and non-service pensions, medical benefits, home loan and educational benefits, death and burial benefits and any other benefit they may be entitled to receive.


In addition the office is responsible for assisting veterans in their medical needs with the VA hospitals and clinics, coordinating Memorial and Veterans Day activities, the flagging of veterans graves at Oakdale Cemetery, flags for Middleton Square and streets named after veterans, and assisting with related activities to veterans' services.
