Exciting news! This week Comcast Executive Vice President David L. Cohen announced that Comcast has extended Internet Essentials, our acclaimed national broadband adoption program for low-income families, beyond its initial three-year period. In just two and a half years, we’ve connected more than 1.2 million low-income Americans, or 300,000 families.
This means that eligible low-income students and their families in your community will continue to be able to benefit from America’s largest broadband adoption program providing affordable Internet service, discounted computers, and free digital literacy training. For more information on the extension of the program, as well as the other enhancements we announced this week, please read David Cohen’s blog here: http://corporate.comcast.com/media-center/internet-essentials-media
