The town of Middleton (population 9,338; FY15 Budget $29.1 million) is seeking a qualified, motivated and experienced professional for the position of Town Accountant/Chief Financial Officer.  The ideal candidate will possess Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics or related field plus five years of progressively responsible related public finance experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.  Candidates shall have a thorough knowledge of UMAS, GAAP, and GASB regulations.  Working knowledge of computer applications for accounting and financial management; experience with MUNIS is preferred.  Responsible for performing complex administrative, supervisory, and technical work to ensure the proper recording and maintenance of financial records, approving all financial payments, controlling expenditures of all town funds and auditing financial records and transactions; performs all other related work as required.   Salary range $80,000 - $92,000 DOQ.  Send letter of interest and resume to Town Administrator, 48 South Main St., Middleton, MA 01949 or via email to  Job description available upon request and position will remain open until filled.  EEO/AA employer.
