MINUTES
March 26, 2013

Open Meeting:  A regular meeting of the Board of Assessors was held at Memorial Hall on Tuesday,
March 26, 2013.  The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m.

Those present were Bradford W. Swanson, Michelle C. Branciforte, Kosta E. Prentakis, and Deborah J. Carbone.

Minutes:  Minutes of February 5, 2013 for both the regular meeting and the executive meeting, and minutes of
February 26, 2013 were reviewed and approved by the Board.

Motor Vehicle Abatements:  Motor vehicle abatement applications were approved and signed by the Board.

Executive Session:  Motion by Kosta Prentakis to go into Executive Session, seconded by Deborah Carbone.

MV Commitment:  Approved and signed the following Motor Vehicle Commitments:
2013 Commitment No. 2 was for $179,426.92
                        2012 Commitment No. 8 was for $2,728.55

Abatement Posting Procedure and Demand Notices:  Discussion about the procedure for posting the motor vehicle abatements to the General Ledger.  It was determined that the abatements should be posted to the General Ledger upon entry.

Permission Issue for Munis Tax Control Center Set-up:  Written notice to Andrew Vanni requesting permission to be sent within 7-10 days.

New Business:   The next posted meeting of April 9, 2013 to be joint with the Topsfield Board of Assessors at 4:00 p.m. to sign abatements/exemptions.

Adjourn:  Having no other business to come before the Board, motion was made by Kosta Prentakis, seconded by Deborah Carbone, to adjourn @ 5:50 p.m., so voted 2-0.
